The competition, in its first edition, promoted by Artglace, Confederation des Associations des Artisans Glaciers de la Communaut Europenne, will take place from 15 February to 30 June 2021.
The initiative is aimed at artisan ice cream makers who carry out their business in Europe and aims to promote, through video images, the "MANTECADO", the official flavour of the 9th European Day of Artisan Gelato (GDay), which this year is dedicated to Spain. The video must have a maximum duration of 90 seconds and its content must concern the production process and the presentation of the “MANTECADO” flavour, whose recipe can be downloaded from the website www.gelato-day.com.
The evaluated parameters will be:
1) originality of the presentation,
2) video quality,
3) illustration of the production process of the "Mantecado" flavour,
4) aesthetics and decoration of the tray.
All videos that comply with the criteria indicated in the regulation will be published during Sigep Exhibition and until June, on the Gelato day website and on social media, a unique showcase to be viewed and known by an audience of international experts. The competition is aimed at European artisan gelato makers, but videos from non-European countries will still be welcome and published.
