Do you want to open a Gelato Shop? Invitalia offers attractive incentives for Central and Southern Italy

Are you thinking about opening a gelato shop and need help getting started? Since 2017, the Resto al Sud program has been available, updated in July 2020 through the Relaunch Decree.
Resto al Sud is an incentive program by Invitalia that supports the creation and development of new entrepreneurial or freelance activities in Southern Italian regions and earthquake-affected areas of Central Italy (from the 2016 and 2017 events).

Resto al Sud – Business Support Program

Resto al Sud supports the creation and development of new businesses in Abruzzo, Basilicata, Calabria, Campania, Molise, Puglia, Sardinia, Sicily, and the earthquake-affected areas of Central Italy (Lazio, Marche, Umbria).
This incentive is intended for individuals aged between 18 and 45 years.

Eligible Business Activities:

  • Productive activities in the industrial, artisan, agri-food processing, fishing, and aquaculture sectors
  • Business and personal services
  • Tourism
  • Freelance and self-employed activities, either as individuals or as part of a company

Changes Introduced by the “Decreto Rilancio” (Relaunch Decree)
