Lemon Sorbet Recipe

A simple recipe that anyone can easily prepare for a dinner — especially when the meal includes rich or heavy courses — is the classic lemon sorbet. It’s perfect to refresh guests' palates, provide a pleasant break between courses, or to close the meal with a light and easy-to-make dessert.

Ingredients (for 6 servings):

  • 500 g of artisanal lemon gelato (lemon sorbet)
  • 2 glasses of extra dry Prosecco
  • 2 small shots of vodka

Preparation:

Take a tub of artisanal lemon gelato and place it in a blender together with the vodka and Prosecco. Blend for a few minutes until the ingredients are well combined. Make sure the mixture is very cold; if not, place it in the freezer for about 10 minutes, stirring before serving.

If the sorbet appears too dense, you can incorporate one egg white beaten to stiff peaks before freezing, which will make it smoother and creamier.

Pour the resulting mixture into six chilled flute glasses. Alternatively, serve the sorbet inside hollowed-out lemon halves for a natural and elegant presentation.
