Carlotta Fabbri appointed Chair of the Gelato Ingredients Group at Unione Italiana Food

Carlotta Fabbri has been appointed President of the Gelato Ingredients Group within Unione Italiana Food (UIF). She will lead the Council and Assembly of the group for the 2023–2027 term.

Born in 1984, Carlotta Fabbri represents the fifth generation of the founding family behind Fabbri 1905 SpA, a historic Italian company established 118 years ago. Her professional journey began in communication agencies and as a journalist for Il Resto del Carlino in Bologna. In 2005, she joined the Fabbri Group, starting in the Argentine branch. After returning from South America in 2012, she held roles across various company departments, eventually focusing on Sales and Marketing, where she now serves as Digital Sales & Marketing Director.

Leadership Vision and Strategic Goals

As President of the Gelato Ingredients Group, Carlotta Fabbri aims to:

  • Strengthen institutional and media relations
  • Promote closer collaboration with trade fairs, artisan gelato associations, and industry stakeholders
  • Support joint initiatives and strategic supply chain partnerships
  • Encourage international growth, especially in export markets with untapped potential

Her leadership comes at a time when the artisan gelato sector is undergoing dynamic transformation, driven by evolving consumer tastes, product innovation, and increasing global demand for high-quality, made-in-Italy ingredients.

A Leading Voice for Italy’s Gelato Ingredients Industry

The Gelato Ingredients Group of UIF brings together the most prominent Italian manufacturers of ingredients and semi-finished products for gelato and pastry. Collectively, these companies generate an annual turnover of €850 million, representing 80% of the entire gelato ingredients sector in Italy.

This concentration of expertise and market share makes UIF a key player in shaping the future of artisan gelato, both nationally and internationally.
