IEG ASIA acquires Montgomery Asia’s food&beverage events

Speciality Food & Drinks Asia, Speciality Coffee & Tea Asia, and Food2Go to be held alongside Sigep Asia by Italian Exhibition Group
Dates: June 26-28, 2024, Sands Expo & Convention Centre, Singapore

Rimini, 9 January 2024 – Italian Exhibition Group continues to expand internationally. IEG Asia Pte Ltd has recently acquired the food and beverage trade fairs Speciality Food & Drinks Asia, Speciality Coffee & Tea Asia, and Food2Go from Montgomery Asia. This strategic move strengthens IEG Asia’s commitment to contribute positively to Singapore’s F&B scene and the ASEAN markets.

The three events will take place together – from June 26-28, 2024, at the Sands Expo & Convention Centre in Singapore – alongside the highly anticipated inaugural edition of SIGEP Asia, the International Exhibition of Artisan Gelato, Pastry, Bakery, Coffee, and Tea by IEG, held concurrently with the 5th edition of Restaurant Asia, the International Exhibition of Catering, Kitchen Equipment, and Culinary Supplies.

This merger marks a pivotal moment for the F&B industry, as the combined event will offer a highly specialized platform that comprehensively meets the needs of the F&B sector – all under one roof – catering to both industry giants and startups. The convergence of all aspects of the food and beverage world will provide insights into the latest trends and innovations, as well as a dynamic platform for networking and collaboration through meetings, conferences, engaging masterclasses, and demonstrations.

The Singapore event will be further strengthened by an exclusive hosted buyer program, “Buyer X,” designed to facilitate international business interactions, partnerships, and opportunities. Industry professionals, exhibitors, and visitors will have an engaging experience tailored to meet the ever-evolving needs of the F&B sector.

Statements:

Christopher McCuin, CEO of Montgomery Asia, said: “Since launching this event in 2017, our goal has been to bring the best global gourmet, artisanal, and specialty F&B products to the markets of Singapore and Southeast Asia. We are proud to have achieved that goal. The F&B events space in Singapore is highly competitive, and we believe the union of these events will help strengthen this exciting market. We would like to thank all our partners, associations, and clients for their broad support, many of whom have been with us since the first edition.”

This acquisition is another step for our Group on the international stage,” said Corrado Peraboni, CEO of IEG. “In recent years, we have consolidated our presence in organizing B2B events in sectors where we are key players, with food & beverage being one of our core areas of excellence. The Singapore event is positioned in a global business hub, with access to strategic markets crucial for the development of the food sector, which will also have significant effects on the value of our Italian fairs, especially given the important database of companies and operators this acquisition provides us. Our mission as a community catalyst is truly global and circular.”

Francesco Santa, International Business Development Director at IEG, announced: “The synergy of these events under IEG’s umbrella will undoubtedly establish a new benchmark for boutique trade fairs, perfectly aligning with our mission to offer an extraordinary experience for all our stakeholders. This strategic expansion is a clear reflection of our unwavering commitment to exceed the expectations of our exhibition partners and visitors. It’s a step forward in our commitment to excellence in the F&B and hospitality sectors.”

In less than a year since its launch on March 1, 2023, IEG Asia has expanded its event portfolio, especially in the F&B sector. I am confident that together, these events will establish a new benchmark for boutique fairs in Singapore and the ASEAN F&B arena, and it aligns with our dedication to delivering an extraordinary experience for our stakeholders, exhibition partners, and visitors,” concluded Ilaria Cicero, CEO of IEG Asia.
