Rimini, October 5, 2022 - Italian Exhibition Group strengthens its presence in Asia. IEG, which with its venues in Rimini and Vicenza is a leader in organizing trade and congress events in Italy and globally, and the Singapore Tourism Board (the main economic development agency of Singapore’s Ministry of Trade and Industry) signed an MoU today to support the development and organization of new IEG events in Singapore, enhancing the entire MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) ecosystem in the city-state.
IEG will also open an office in Singapore, continuing its strategic expansion in the “Lion City”, where it recently signed a letter of intent (LOI) to acquire two strategic exhibitions in the luxury and food sectors from CEMS-Conference & Exhibition Management Services. These include Sije - Singapore International Jewelry Expo and Cafè Asia, Sweet and Bakes Asia, and Restaurant Asia—all sectors where IEG already leads with its brands Vicenzaoro and Sigep.

Announcement at Press Conference
The MoU was announced during the Singapore Tourism Board’s MoU Signing Ceremony at the Fullerton Hotel, Singapore, coinciding with the first ASIA CEO Summit (October 5-7, 2022), co-organized by SACEOS, AEO, SISO, and UFI. Under the protocol, IEG and STB will join forces to support the organization of new events in Singapore. The development of potential leading international brands will help strengthen Singapore’s position as a strategic regional and global hub for business tourism.

- In the United Arab Emirates, with the Dubai Muscle & Active Show (October 28-30, 2022), the Middle East’s leading fitness and bodybuilding fair, and JGT Dubai (February 12-14, 2023), one of the world’s largest jewelry events.
- In China, with CDEPE - Chengdu International Environmental Protection Expo (2023), the leading fair for green technologies, and Sigep China (organised by EAGLE, an IEG company), a trade show for gelato, pastry, baking, and coffee, debuting in Shenzhen (May 10-12, 2023) in partnership with Koelnmesse.
