The process of collecting exhibitor registrations is already underway, and it is clear that the upcoming edition will provide visitors with a comprehensive view of the products, machines, equipment, furniture, accessories, and services needed for modern gelaterias.
Exclusive for Industry Professionals
As confirmed by Michele Dal Farra, President of the Fair, MIG 2023 will be exclusively open to industry professionals. "The decision to restrict entry to only sector operators, as opposed to allowing general public access as in previous years, has been widely appreciated by companies. They value the efforts to make the event highly professional and productive," says Dal Farra.
Special Thematic Areas for Training and Information
In addition to the exhibition spaces, specialized areas will be dedicated to training and information initiatives, focusing on management and new business models that modern gelaterias cannot overlook, especially in the face of an increasingly complex market situation.
To ensure maximum participation, a targeted promotional campaign has been launched to engage as many industry professionals as possible. This campaign will reach over 45 countries, particularly those with a strong tradition of attending MIG, such as Germany, Austria, Netherlands, Poland, France, Greece, Spain, Hungary, Slovenia, and Croatia. The campaign is further strengthened by specific initiatives in these key countries, with buyers also expected to attend for incoming business activities.
Focus on Complementary Sectors
While MIG 2023 remains the event where artisanal gelato takes center stage, special attention will be given to complementary sectors such as coffee, as well as to those that can enrich the gelateria offering, such as chocolate and mixology.
Highlights and Competitions
Among the key events, the 53rd edition of the Coppa d’Oro competition will take place, with over 100 gelato artisans competing to prepare the best dark chocolate gelato made with water-based ingredients. This prestigious competition will not only engage gelato makers from across Europe but will also feature the winner of the Copa de Oro competition, held in collaboration with the AFADHYA (Argentine Ice Cream Makers Association), during the FITHEP Expoalimentaria in Cordoba, Argentina, from June 5 to 7, 2023.
MIG 2023 promises to be an essential event for professionals in the artisanal gelato industry, offering a comprehensive platform for innovation, networking, and the celebration of the craft of gelato making.
