Subsidized Financing for Growth and Internationalization
As of July 18, 2023, it has been officially confirmed that SIMEST will restart operations under Fund 394/81, offering subsidized financing to support various aspects of business growth. This includes expansion into international markets, digital transition, trade fairs and events, e-commerce, and certifications and consultancy services.
The financial support provided by SIMEST will include a preferential interest rate and a 10% non-repayable grant. This is an excellent opportunity for the gelato supply chain, particularly for companies involved in ingredient production, display showcases, and machinery, to strengthen their presence in international markets.
One of the most significant updates is that the subsidized financing can now be accessed by both small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) as well as larger businesses that do not fall under the SME category. This opens up the possibility for more companies to tap into this funding.
Webinar on New Financing Measures
To help gelato businesses navigate these new opportunities, Sistema Gelato is organizing a webinar on July 25th, 2023, at 16:30 titled “New SIMEST Subsidized Financing Measures for Internationalization”.
The webinar will feature Gabriella Severi, Senior External Relations at SIMEST, and Antonio Verga Falzacappa, Administrator of SISTEMA Leader and founder of Sistema Gelato.
