This biennial event, which has been held since 2003 and is now in its 10th edition, brings together gelato, pastry, culinary, and ice sculpting professionals from around the world, offering a unique opportunity for professional exchange and inspiration.
During the previous edition of Sigep, held in Gelato Arena, the Italian gelato maker and pastry chef were selected to represent Italy in the inaugural Gelato Europe Cup. However, the selection process is still ongoing worldwide!
From June 6 to 9, the Latin America selection was held in Buenos Aires, where Team Argentina won first place, followed by Brazil in second, and Peru in third. Fresh news has just arrived about the Asian Gelato Cup held from October 25 to 28, where Singapore and Taiwan claimed the victory, with South Korea securing third place, recognized for their creativity and style.
The next stops on the road to the Gelato World Cup 2024 will be the Gelato Europe Cup, scheduled for January 21-23, 2023, in the Rimini Expo Center, and then Sigep China, taking place May 10-12, 2023, in Shenzhen, where the team representing China in the 2024 World Cup will be selected.
