Shenzhen, China – April 22, 2024 – The second edition of SIGEP China opens its doors at the Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Centre from April 24 to 26, in conjunction with Anuga Select China, hosted by Italian Exhibition Group (IEG) through IEG China and Koelnmesse. With over 500 exhibiting brands from 30 countries, this key international event showcases the excellence of the Italian and European sweet foodservice industry, mirroring the legacy of SIGEP Rimini, the world-renowned fair dedicated to gelato, pastry, chocolate, bakery, and coffee.

FEATURED AREAS AND COMPETITIONS
Gelato & Pastry Area
The spotlight is on the Pastry Queen China Selection, which will determine the pastry chef representing China at the 2025 World Pastry Queen Championship. Six chefs will compete under the guidance of jury president Louie Ye, one of China’s most respected Gelato & Pastry chefs.
Bakery Area
Here, the Chinese qualifiers for the Bread in the City World Bakery Championship will take place, with 8 teams of 2 bakers each competing. The event is co-organized with Richemont Club China, represented by head judge Gino Cao.
Coffee Area
Coffee enthusiasts will enjoy brewing and latte art competitions, curated by Coffee T&I, one of Asia’s top magazines for coffee, tea, and gelato trends.
A dedicated Forum Area, inspired by the Vision Plaza at SIGEP Rimini, will host thought leadership talks on the five main sectors: gelato, pastry, bakery, chocolate, and coffee.
LOOKING AHEAD TO SIGEP ASIA IN SINGAPORE
SIGEP China 2024 marks a significant milestone in IEG’s strategic expansion into Asia, paving the way for the inaugural edition of SIGEP Asia, taking place June 26–28, 2024 in Singapore. The new show will include:

- Sweets & Bakes Asia
This comprehensive event will provide a global stage for artisan gelato, pastry, baking, coffee, and tea sectors, further reinforcing SIGEP’s international leadership.
