Belluno’s mountain region takes center stage on Linea Bianca, showcasing one of its historic artisan products: gelato. The popular Rai program, hosted by Massimiliano Ossini, Giulia Capocchi, and Lino Zani, filmed a segment that will be aired during the current season, the 10th, which began on December 23rd. The show also visited Longarone Fiere Dolomiti to cover the MIG - Mostra Internazionale del Gelato, an event that has been celebrating artisan gelato for over 60 years.
On Friday, the Linea Bianca crew was welcomed by the first snowfall of 2024 and captured gelato masters at work in the mountains, demonstrating how gelato was traditionally made. Host Lino Zani delved into the rich history of gelato and the MIG, which has become an internationally recognized event. The episode will feature moments from the most recent edition of MIG, highlighting the excellence of Italian-made artisan gelato, which was born in the Zoldo and Cadore valleys and has now “conquered” the world.
“The gelato represents the history and story of our entire region, as it embodies a tradition and craftsmanship that gelato masters have exported from Belluno. We are thrilled that Linea Bianca chose to showcase this product and our province,” said Michele Dal Farra, President of Longarone Fiere Dolomiti. “The fair aims to be a platform for the region, promoting local excellence and entrepreneurial spirit.”
The Belluno episode of Linea Bianca will air on Saturday, January 27th, at 2:00 PM.
