The countdown is on for the sweetest celebration of the year: European Artisanal Gelato Day 2025. Taking place during the second weekend of Agrimont, this annual event will highlight the best of artisanal gelato with special flavors, sustainability projects, and prestigious awards.
Flavour, culture, and solidarity will take center stage throughout 2025, with a rich calendar of events across Italy and Europe. The official programme was unveiled today at the Chamber of Deputies in Rome, with the presence of Hon. Mirco Carloni, President of the Agriculture Commission. The spotlight is on “Hallelujah,” the Flavour of the Year 2025, created in honor of the Jubilee.
The prestigious Ivano Pocchiesa Journalism Award will be presented on March 23, 2025, in Longarone, to Angelo Grasso, a renowned consultant and author in the artisanal gelato industry.
Marco Bettini of Gelateria La Veneta Castiglioncello in Livorno has been awarded the first prize at the Trofeo PuntoIT artisanal gelato competition. This year's edition saw gelato masters compete around the theme “Traditional Creams Based on Typical Apulian Products.”
The prestigious international event for gelato, pastry, baking, chocolate, coffee, and pizza will take place at the Rimini fairgrounds from January 16 to 20, 2026, spanning from Friday to Tuesday. This strategic decision aims to benefit both exhibitors and visitors attending the global gathering for the foodservice industry.
Over 250 booths spread across more than 18,000 square meters in the new pavilion of the Fiera del Levante and numerous events marked the opening of the international fair, which has seen a record number of specialized visitors.
The 13th edition of European Gelato Day was unveiled at Sigep. On March 24, as every year, one of the most beloved products of all time – artisan gelato – will be celebrated.
The 2025 edition of SIGEP sees a 26% increase in international visitors from 160 countries, the highest ever recorded; 1300 exhibiting brands from 33 countries showcased excellence in foodservice, and the “Guest Country” initiative featuring Saudi Arabia was a great success.
